ASA National County Team Championships

Every year, the Counties sends a team of Swimmers to Ponds Forge to represent Berks and South Bucks in the ASA National County Team Championships. These are swum in 25m pools, and there are two Divisions, which compete in at the same time in the two halves of Ponds Forge's 50m pool, which makes for a very exciting, noisy event. Currently Berks and South Bucks is in Division 1

The team consists of 6 teams of 4 swimmers: 12/13, 14/15 and 16/17 age groups (male and female). They swim 100m each stroke, and two team events.

Traditionally the team trains together in September and the Coach leaves from Wycombe Leisure Centre (Junction 4 of the M40) on Saturday afternoon, in October for Sheffield, returning the Sunday night.

For 2011, the Team Manager is Liz Waddy, County Coach is Nigel Willis. In 2012 the County Coach will be Matt Heathcock. We are seeking a Team Manager - if you are interested let us know.
