Dear Club Secretary We are pleased to be able to offer members of your Club the opportunity to attend the Workshop on Funding for Clubs. This was postponed from last year, as there was then insufficient interest to make the event viable, and those that did want to come were disappointed. However, since then, more Clubs have indicated that they would like to attend such a Workshop, so the County has arranged another date which we hope will be more convenient to Clubs. The Workshop will be held on Sunday 30th March 2008, at the Windsor Leisure Centre, Stowe Road, Windsor. Registration will be from 9.30 a.m.(coffee will be available) and the Workshop will start at 10 a.m. and finish by 1 p.m. A flyer for the event is attached. Each Club is invited to send several members to the Workshop, so that more people can get involved in fundraising; this would be an opportunity to encourage some newer members to take on some aspects and spread the workload. Even if your Club is already successful in raising funds, there are few Clubs that would not welcome MORE funding, so do come along and pick up fresh ideas and insights into the possibilities. All you need to do is to advise the names of those who will be attending to Jean Hulbert, the Workshop organiser for the County. You can do this by email (subject: BSB Funding Workshop) to president@bsbasa.org, by phone or by post. Please say which Club they are representing, and if possible give contact details for them. As we do need to know how many will be attending, please reply no later than March 16th. Should there not be enough support from Clubs for this event, we shall not be able to offer it again, so you are strongly urged to ensure that your Club is represented. Similar events held in other South East Region Counties have received very enthusiastic reviews, and have resulted in significant benefits to participants. Yours sincerely
